Lymie: Highway to Hell
Life stuff doesn’t seem so scary
after I looked death right in the eye
lying on cold bathroom tiles
and then decided to get up
I know what determination is
having nothing left inside
getting up every morning
even while I cry
I know what strength is
fighting from emptiness
because there is no choice
but to give it another try
I know what faith is
believing, in the pain,
that another day will come
and ease me from this hell
I know what hope is
holding onto silent air
praying at the end of this
that I will be well
Life stuff doesn’t seem so scary
after I looked death right in the eye
lying on cold bathroom tiles
and then decided to get up
